Hello My Name Is...
<Mrs. Jones>
<A native of Atlanta, I earned my Bachelor of Music Degree from Georgia State University. I have taught Chorus in the Clayton County Public School System for 7 years. I am a Mezzo Soprano, and I currently sing with the Master Works Chorus at Spivey Hall as well as with my church choir, where I also serve as assistant director and soloist. Formerly I served as Director of The Henry Singers, and I have also served as a church choir director for adult, youth, and children's choirs. I am a former member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the direction of the late Robert Shaw, and I have been active both as an actress and music director for the Henry Players in numerous musicals over the years. Throughout my career as a Choral Director my choirs have earned superior and/or excellent ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluations and at the Southern Star Music Festival. I am a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, and through that organization I have been blessed to have outstanding students participate in honor choruses including All-State Chorus. To me the most beautiful sound in the world is that of a children's choir making beautiful music. This is what we strive to create each and every day!>
